Unemployment is one of the most direct indicators of economic distress and failure of governance. A government must not only create jobs but also ensure that the youth are trained and industry-ready. We also examine whether the available jobs are of decent quality and provide stable incomes. Underemployment and informal jobs that offer no security are also considered.
