Health is a fundamental right, and a strong health system directly saves lives and improves productivity. We assess how much states invest in their public healthcare, particularly for rural and low-income populations. Coverage of primary health centers, availability of beds, and success of insurance-based schemes like Ayushman Bharat are analyzed. We also measure preventive care efforts, such as vaccinations and maternal health.
We analyze: maternal and infant mortality, insurance coverage, rural-urban hospital availability, doctor-patient ratio, vaccination rates, and health budget share.
