Evaluation Factors

Education Quality

शिक्षा गुणवत्ता

  • Literacy Rate (overall & female): Foundation for jobs and health awareness. A rising female literacy rate lifts family outcomes. Example: Adult literacy drives + girls’ secondary schooling raise female literacy to 85%.
  • Enrollment & Retention (by stage/gender): Getting children in—and keeping them there—matters. Nearby secondary schools boost girls’ retention. Example: Opening a local high school halves dropouts in Class 9–10.
  • Dropout Rate: Shows where families are forced to choose work over school. Midday meals, bicycles, and scholarships reduce dropouts. Example: Free bicycles + transport cards cut rural girl dropouts by a third.
  • Teacher–Student Ratio & Attendance: More teachers and better attendance → better learning. Example: Hiring 12k teachers brings PTR from 45:1 to 28:1 → more attention per child.
  • Infrastructure (classrooms, toilets, power): Clean toilets for girls and electricity for labs increase attendance and learning. Example: Separate girls’ toilets + water raise adolescent attendance.
  • Learning Outcomes (ASER/NAS): Measures actual reading/math skills. Bridge courses and remedial support matter more than pass % alone. Example: “Mission Buniyaad”-style camps lift Grade 5 reading to Grade 2 level and beyond.
  • Digital/ Vocational/ Scholarships: Smart-classes help but only with teacher support; vocational streams link school to jobs; timely scholarships keep kids in class. Example: ITI tie-ups give Class 12 grads job-ready skills.
