Poverty Reduction
गरीबी उन्मूलन
True governance success is measured by how many people are lifted out of poverty—not just in income terms, but also in terms of access to food, housing, and basic dignity. We look at the effectiveness of direct benefit transfers, access to subsidized services, and reduction in rural-urban inequality. Poverty alleviation through nutrition, housing, and access to credit is given special weight.
Assessment includes: % of people below poverty line, urban-rural poverty gap, food security through ration cards, housing (PMAY), and child nutrition outcomes (NFHS).
